Nothing so earth-shattering, but here is this bird:
Not to put too much weight on this little guy, but it got me thinking about a question that comes up a lot for people in the writing and illustrating biz, "What comes first, the words of images?" For me I usually think about both at kind of the same time. Often it's one image that prompts some words that prompt more images, etc.
I like to get get my brain going by drawing an image, then describing it. Sometimes it stays in the sketchbook, other times it becomes an entire book or iPhone case.
